About Us

At Just a Glimpse, we understand the challenges that women with MRKH Syndrome face when navigating the complexities of reproductive health and sexual identity. We recognize that many women in this community often experience feelings of isolation, shame, and uncertainty about their future. Our mission is to break down these barriers by providing accessible and comprehensive medical care, as well as creating a strong support network.
To lay the groundwork for our mission, we are currently in the process of developing an official online resource center connected to a dual purpose app specifically for women with MRKH Syndrome. This resource center will serve as a hub of information, offering medical explanations, treatment options, and support resources for both women and their families. We believe that by providing easy access to this crucial information, we can empower women with MRKH Syndrome to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
In addition to medical information, our resource center will also feature inspiring stories of women who have triumphed over the challenges posed by MRKH Syndrome. We believe that by sharing these stories, we can foster a sense of community and empower others to seek medical care and support. We want every woman to know that they are not alone in this journey and that there is a supportive network cheering them on.

Medical Research Trip To Istanbul, Turkey

In early 2025, we were thrilled to announce that our organization received funding to explore options for the care of women with MRKH Syndrome. Recently, Rebecca Bowdre, representing Just A Glimpse, traveled to Memorial Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey, accompanied by two supportive individuals due to her health circumstances.

During this visit, Rebecca underwent a full check-up and experienced firsthand the kindness of the hospital staff. The opportunity to discuss and set up a patient's basic profile in the medical database we are developing was a positive step forward. However, this trip also illuminated the significant challenges faced by women with MRKH Syndrome and underscored the urgency of our mission.

The contrast between what is currently available and what is needed for better healthcare for these women was stark. It reinforced our commitment to advocate for essential improvements in medical care and support systems. As we move forward, we remain dedicated to working tirelessly to transform the healthcare landscape for women affected by MRKH Syndrome.

For individuals with MRKH Syndrome and others with special medical needs, it is essential to stay proactive about health check-ups. We recommend contacting us to discuss a tailored list of necessary health screenings relevant to your condition. Our team is dedicated to providing guidance on essential health check-ups worldwide, ensuring that you receive comprehensive support. Additionally, we advocate for safe steps that every individual can take to navigate their healthcare journey effectively, including tips for communicating with healthcare providers, understanding your rights as a patient, and creating personalized care plans. Your health is our priority, and we are here to help you advocate for your well-being.
